To ask the Deputy Prime Minister how many contracts have been awarded to businesses that do not hold public liability insurance by each local authority in the last 12 months; and if he will make a statement. [112450]

This information requested is not held centrally and could be provided only at disproportionate cost. Local authorities are independent and autonomous bodies, responsible within the law for making their own decisions on procurement matters.
