To ask the Prime Minister, how many (a) husbands, (b) wives and (c) partners of Government Ministers are in paid Government employment as (i) civil servants and (ii) advisers; and if he will list them. [112561]

All appointments are made, as appropriate, in accordance with the requirements of the Ministerial Code, the Civil Service Code, the Code of Conduct for Special Advisers and t he Code of Practice on Public Appointments. Detailed information in the form requested is not held centrally and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
