To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how much has been spent on (a) opinion polling and (b) research into the attitudes of voters in Northern Ireland in each year since 1997. [100726]

The amount spent by the Northern Ireland Office on attitudinal research in each year since 1997 is set out in the following table:
