To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills (1) what percentage supply teachers represent of the total number of teachers in (a)Jarrow, (b) South Tyneside, (c) Tyne and Wear and (d) England; [108739](2) how many supply teachers have worked in

(a) Jarrow, (b) South Tyneside, (c) Tyne and Wear and (d) England in each year since 1997; [108740]

(3) how many supply teachers are working in (a) Jarrow, (b) South Tyneside, (c) Tyne and Wear and (d) England. [108741]

The information is not available at constituency level.Table 1 shows occasional teachers as a percentage of the full-time equivalent teachers in the maintained sector at January 2002
