To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills how many companies have been established from (a) Liverpool University, (b) John Moores University, (c) Liverpool Hope and (d) Edge Hill University college in each year since 1997; what percentage of those companies were established by women; and how many survived (i) one year, (ii) two years and (iii) more than two years. This information is not collected centrally in this form. However, the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) has published aggregate information on the number of companies set up by higher education institutions.
