To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many staff have been employed in the Ministerial Correspondence Unit of the Department in each of the last two years. [115887]

The Ministry of Defence has employed seven staff in its Ministerial Correspondence Unit in each of the last two years. Three of these staff have other duties not directly related to processing correspondence—such as managing the Private Office budget, supporting Ministers during Defence debates in the House, and general administrative support to the Department's Parliamentary Branch.
