To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills whether he (a) sought and (b) obtained agreement to pupils being photographed for publicity purposes on the occasion of his announcement on pupil testing on 20 May from (i) their parents, (ii) the school governors, (iii) the head teacher and (iv) the local education authority. [116234]

I can confirm that permissions were sought. The Department has clear guidelines setting out when permission needs to be sought and how it is to be sought.
