To ask the Secretary of State for Health pursuant to his answer of 21 May 2003, Official Report, columns 855–56W, on Long-term care, how much his Department has allocated to publicise the need for individuals to assess whether they or a relative failed to be given continuing care between 1996 and 2003, as set out in HC399. [116857]

All strategic health authorities will be taking reasonable steps to ensure their local population is aware that a review is taking place. No additional Departmental resources have been allocated for this exercise.
