To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills how many civil servants are predicted to be employed in the Department in (a) 2003–04, (b) 2004–05 and (c) 2005–06. [117762]

My Department has not employed any civil servants' advisers in any of the years from 1997–98 to 2002–03.
