To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many GPs there were (a) in England and (b) in each constituency in the last year for which figures are available. [118719]

The information is not available on a constituency basis. Information on the number of all general practitioners in England, broken down by primary care trust as at 31 March 2002 has been placed in the Library.
