To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many convicted paedophiles are resident in each parliamentary constituency in Northern Ireland. [118418]

The information is not readily available in the precise form requested. Statistics on offenders convicted for sexual offences against children are not collated at parliamentary constituency level. However, in the Northern Ireland police area, as at 12 June 2003, there were 451 convicted sex offenders subject to the notification requirements of Part 1 of the Sex Offenders Act 1997. These figures include offenders against adults and children.
