To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what progress has been made in her Department and non-departmental public bodies on implementing the requirements of the Race Relations Amendment Act 2000; and if she will publish the results of the monitoring required by the Act. [117471]

On 30 November 2002, the Scotland Office came together with the Scottish Executive, its agencies and other Government organisations in Scotland to publish a Statement of Intent on how they would comply with the employment duties of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act (2000). It set out how they will fulfil their duty to monitor by ethnicity, including a Collective Employment Monitoring Scheme. The Scheme will publish the initial results of race equality employment monitoring in November 2003.
