To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions his Department had with the Chief Justice regarding (a) the Attorney General of the Cayman Islands and (b) the Head of the Financial Reporting Unit in the Cayman Islands, prior to their resignations; and what actions have been taken since. [120274]

The Governor of the Cayman Islands discussed a number of different issues with the Chief Justice and representatives of the Cayman Islands Government following the early ending of the Eurobank trial. The Financial Reporting Unit continues temporarily to operate under an Acting Head, and the Cayman Islands Solicitor General is Acting Attorney General pending the appointment of a successor.
