To ask the Secretary of State for Health what recent representations he has received regarding the importation of chicken and other poultry products from China. [126544]

I am advised by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) that the importation of chicken, poultry meat products and certain other products of animal origin from China for human consumption is currently prohibited under European Union legislation. The FSA has not received recent representations on this matter.
