To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport what progress she has made towards the goal of putting all libraries online. [129080]

The £100 million Lottery funded People's Network programme has enabled all but 20 of the libraries in England to be connected to the internet, including all the libraries in my hon. Friend's constituency. This represents well over 3,000 libraries, a very fine achievement. The remaining libraries will go online after refurbishment or technical programmes have been completed. All libraries in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are online.
