To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will appoint representatives from (a) the trade union movement and (b) the community and voluntary sector to the Strategic Investment Body. [123280]

An Advisory Council on Strategic Investment will be established to advise the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister and the Department of Finance and Personnel on the Strategic Investment Board's strategy and direction, and public private investment issues. Political representatives and social partners will shortly be invited to provide nominations to the Advisory Council. I can confirm that the trade union movement and the community and voluntary sector will each be allocated four seats on the Council.
