To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people are employed by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority. [130510]

The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority has a complement of 554 posts. At the end of July 2003, 496.5 of these posts were filled by staff on secondment from the Authority's sponsoring organisations, the Home Office and the Scottish Executive. A further 37 posts were filled by agency and casual staff.
