To ask the Secretary of State for Health pursuant to his answer of 16 July 2003, Official Report, column 412W, on emergency planning, if he will publish the review of major incident planning capacity. [129125]

There are no plans to publish the detailed findings of the review. The review has helped ensure that national health service major incident planning is continuously reviewed and improved. Revised guidance will be issued to the NHS later this year. Our approach was described in the Treasury minute responding to the Public Accounts Committee report "Facing the Challenge: NHS Emergency Planning in England", which was published on 17 March. Copies of the minute have been placed in the Library.
