To ask the Parliamentary Secretary, Department for Constitutional Affairs what plans he has for redeployment of members of his Department out of London and the south east. [125361]

The scope for relocating Government activity is being considered by Sir Michael Lyons. His independent review was announced in the Chancellor's Budget statement on 9 April.Details of the review, including the consultation launched on 19 June, can be found on the HM Treasury website at Sir Michael will report his findings on the scope for relocating Departments and other public sector bodies before the end of the year.Currently, 11,215 DCA staff (out of a total of 13,455) are either based in regional locations or are in front-line customer facing roles in London and the south east. We are, in light of the Sir Michael Lyons exercise, reviewing the need for continuing to locate staff in London and the south east.
