Order for Second Reading read.
Object.
To be read a Second time on Friday 14 July.
On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker. I know that this has been dubbed “Eric Forth memorial day”, and I mourn him as much as many people because I probably had more dealings with him across the Chamber on Fridays than any other Member in recent years, but is it appropriate for a Division to be engineered as the last one was, with no one voting against Third Reading, solely for the purpose of ensuring that my Bill, the second on the Order Paper, was not reached, with no time even to move its Second Reading?
I assure the hon. Gentleman that everything that has been done today has been perfectly in order. I trust that he is now satisfied.
Further to that point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker.
No, I think that we have dealt with that point of order.
