To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will ask the National Blood Service to issue guidance to its staff aimed at ensuring that men who have sex with men are treated with respect when they are told they are unable to give blood. (76951)

All staff working with blood donors are required to treat blood donors with respect. People who are asked not to donate blood are entitled to a clear explanation as to why they have been deferred or excluded from donating blood, this will include men who have sex with men.
