The Director General, Places, Planning and Communities Group, is responsible for Olympics-related activity in this Department. The Director of Thames Gateway Delivery and Olympics sits on the Inter-Departmental Steering Group for the Olympics. In addition, a broad network of officials from the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) has been established to support DCLG Olympic policy objectives.
