Eddington Review

Volume 448: debated on Thursday 6 July 2006

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport how much the Eddington review has cost; and how much has been budgeted for the review. (79921)

Rod Eddington has been asked to provide advice to the Chancellor and Secretary of State for Transport, and is not being remunerated for his work. He is supported by a team of 10 civil servants drawn from the Department for Transport and HM Treasury. Other admin and programme costs to date total approximately £190,000.

Costs are shared between the Department for Transport and HM Treasury and are being met from the existing budgets for those two Departments.
