To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many under 18-year-olds have been identified in recent raids by Operation Pentameter; and how many of these have been subsequently referred to the Poppy Project. (79231)

[holding answer 21 June 2006]: Operation Pentameter rescued 12 minors aged between 14 and 17. None of these minors was referred to the Poppy Project as victims have to be over 18 to meet the criteria for the project. Three of the minors have been repatriated and the remaining nine are in the care of social services.
