Public Appointments

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many public appointments are within his patronage; what (a) salary and (b) other emoluments are attached to each; and what the comparable figures were in (i) 1976, (ii) 1986 and (iii) 1996. (83165)

Following the devolution settlement in 1999 responsibility for public appointments that were made by the Secretary of State for Wales was transferred to the National Assembly for Wales.

The detailed financial information requested could be supplied only at disproportionate cost.
