Staff Salaries

Volume 450: debated on Monday 16 October 2006

23. To ask the Leader of the House what arrangements are in place for the uprating of hon. Members’ staff salaries; and if he will make a statement. (93393)

Members’ staff are employed by Members of Parliament under a standard contract prepared by the House of Commons Department of Finance and Administration. It is for the Member, as the employer, to determine whether and, if so, by how much an individual member of staff’s salary should increase.
