Children's Advocacy Services

To ask the Minister of State, Department for Constitutional Affairs what the estimated costs were for provision of children’s advocacy services by (a) National Youth Advocacy Service and (b) Children and Family Court Advisory Service cited in Separate Representation of Children. (100241)

The latest Legal Services Commission figures for 2005-06 indicate that the average cost of one legally aided party under the age of 18 in Private Law Section 8 Children Act 1989 (cases applying for contact) is at least £3,330.
