21. To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will make a statement on NHS financial performance in 2006-07. (103788)

I refer the hon. Gentleman to the NHS finance report for the second quarter of 2006-07 which we published on 9 November.

This report shows that the NHS as a whole is broadly on course to deliver net financial balance by the end of this financial year, and continues to perform well against key service targets.
