High Hedges

Volume 454: debated on Tuesday 5 December 2006

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what progress has been made by his Department in introducing measures to address the problem of nuisance high hedges in Northern Ireland; and why no legislation has been introduced since the conclusion of his Department’s consultation on this matter in October 2005. (107021)

In the absence of a place in the legislative programme, no further progress has been made since the consultation in 2005 and no legislation could be brought forward. The Department does intend to progress legislation when the programme permits.
