To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will require further testing of first aid skills as part of the hazard perception section of the driving theory test. (107716)

The moving image hazard perception test (HPT) is not a suitable method of delivering a test of first aid knowledge.

The Driving Standards Agency is assessing the feasibility of expanding the multiple choice section of the Theory Test, to include additional questions on first aid.
