The process to find a successor to Alan Garwood as Head of Defence Export Services has not yet begun. Recruitment to the position will be in accordance with the Civil Service Commissioners' Recruitment Code which requires appointment on merit to the civil service, the process being chaired by a Civil Service Commissioner.
