Benefit Uprating

Volume 454: debated on Monday 11 December 2006

The proposed rates of benefit for 2007 are set out in the following table. The annual uprating of benefits will take place for state pension and most other benefits in the first full week of the tax year. In 2007, this will be the week beginning 9 April. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland proposes to introduce similar changes for Northern Ireland.
