To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many cases of animal cruelty were recorded in Suffolk in each of the last five years; and how many have been successfully prosecuted. (110050)

The number of offences of animal cruelty recorded by the police are not collected centrally.

The following table uses data extracted from the court proceedings database held by the Office for Criminal Justice Reform; the table shows all convictions for animal cruelty offences from 2001 to 2005 in the Suffolk police force area.
