NSI Interest Rates

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what the relationship is between the interest rates provided on the National Saving and Investments' (a) Easy Access and (b) investment savings account and the Bank of England base rate; and if he will make a statement. (113825)

Movement in the Bank of England base rate is one of a number of factors taken into account when setting interest rates on the NS&I Easy Access Savings Account and Investment Account. The other factors include the administration costs of running the product, the rates offered by competitors on similar products, and the interest rates offered on other NS&I products.
