Honours

To ask the Prime Minister for which jobs people are given honours automatically by convention; and if he will make a statement. (114230)

Since the 1993 review of honours by the then Prime Minister (John Major) there has been no assumption that honours will automatically be attached to particular posts in either the public or the private sectors, with the exception of High Court judicial appointments.
