Dangerous Dogs

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs whether he plans to review the legislation on the control of dangerous dogs. (114880)

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs whether he plans to bring forward proposals to amend the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 to prohibit the ownership of a dog which is out of control in private. (114804)

We constantly review our legislation and will always consider suggestions for amending our laws. We work closely with the police, who are responsible for the enforcement of laws aimed at protecting the public from dogs that present a risk.
