To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what the ratio is of medically qualified academics to medical students in Queen’s University Belfast Medical School. (112430)

The ratio of clinical joint appointments to medical students at Queen’s University Belfast is 1:17.

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many medical academics taught medical students in the Province in the most recent year for which figures are available. (112432)

At the end of the last academic year, 31 July 2006, there were 65 clinical joint appointments providing teaching to medical students.
