To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people have been convicted for offences under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 since the Act came into force. (111262)

The Sexual Offences Act 2003 came into force on 1 May 2004. Data from the court proceedings database held by the Office for Criminal Justice Reform show that in 2004 and 2005 5,126 persons were convicted of offences under the Act.
