To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will take steps to contact the director of the Zentrale Stelle der Landesjustizverwaltungen zur Aufklärung von NS-Verbrechen in Ludwigsburg, Germany for details of former German prisoners of war held in the UK who appear on the black list of special category prisoners of war and who may now be resident in the UK; and if he will make a statement. Details of the Zentrale Stelle der Landesjustizverwaltungen were known to the War Crimes Inquiry which reported in 1989 and it would therefore be for the police to consider if information from these records would now assist them in any particular war crimes investigation.
