To ask the Minister of State, Department for Constitutional Affairs whether barristers questioning children and young people aged under 18 years are required to have formal child protection training. [124890]

The Bar Council, which is responsible for the training of barristers, does not impose any requirements on barristers to undertake formal child protection training.
