Discrimination: Sexuality

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what progress has been made on the proposed sexual orientation discrimination regulations; and if she will make a statement. (124841)

The Government laid before Parliament the Equality Act (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2007 on 8 March 2007. The new regulations will protect individuals from discrimination on the grounds of their sexual orientation in the provision of goods, facilities, services and education, the management and disposal of premises and the exercise of public functions.
