To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what the salary cost is of the (a) director of the Policing Policy and Operations Directorate and (b) head of the Police Human Resources Unit in 2006-07. (129371)

[holding answer 23 March 2007]: It is civil service policy to disclose salary details for senior civil servants at board level only. These are published in the annual Home Office Resource accounts. The director of the Policing Policy and Operations Directorate and the head of the Police Human Resources Unit are not board level posts.
