To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people were (a) injured and (b) killed by knife crime offences in (i) the Jarrow constituency, (ii) South Tyneside, (iii) the North East and (iv) England and Wales in each year since 1997. (131273)

The information available centrally relates to homicides by sharp instrument recorded by the police and is given in the following table. These figures are not collected below police force area level.
