Child Alcohol Consumption

19. To ask the Secretary of State for Health what estimate she has made of the amount of alcohol consumed by children in the latest period for which figures are available. (138354)

The mean alcohol consumption of pupils who had drunk in the week prior to interview doubled from 5.3 units in 1990 to 11.4 units in 2000, and has fluctuated around this level since then.
