To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will place in the Library tables showing the traffic levels and accident rates for the Highways Agency Targeted Programme of Improvement road schemes in the last year for which figures are available; and what forecast has been made of likely levels of traffic and rates of accidents after construction works are completed. The Highways Agency is currently working on updating tables which will provide the information requested on traffic levels and road traffic accidents. This work is expected to be completed in advance of summer recess.

I will write to the hon. Member with the information when it is available and place a copy of my letter, and the tables in the Libraries of the House.
