To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills what recent discussions he has held with (a) the National Association of Schoolmasters/Union of Women Teachers, (b) the Health and Safety Executive and (c) the National Governors Association on health and safety within schools. (138252)

The Secretary of State has had no recent meetings with these organisations where health and safety within schools was discussed. Ministers regularly meet representatives of NASUWT and NGA on a wide range of issues; and officials are in regular contact with NASUWT and HSE on matters concerning health and safety.
