To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department which police forces do not have a dedicated roads policing division; and what the title is of the units and divisions in each force which have responsibility for roads policing among their other duties. (142959)

Force organisation and deployment of resources are matters for individual chief officers and such information is not collected centrally.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what the average number of roads policing officers on duty at any given time was in each police force in the last period for which figures are available; and what percentage of the force's total number of officers on duty each figure represents. To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what average number of roads policing officers on duty at any given time in each of the police forces in the last period for which figures are available were (a) carrying out patrolling duties and (b) carrying out roadside enforcement checks.
