To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what expenditure the Valuation Office Agency incurred on legal advice, solicitor fees and barrister fees in relation to council tax appeals before the Valuation Tribunal Service in England and Wales in the last 12 months for which figures are available. During the course of 2006-07 the Valuation Office Agency expended £750 on counsels’ fees in relation to council tax appeals before Valuation Tribunals.
