All ministerial visits are conducted in accordance with the “Ministerial Code” and “Travel by Ministers”. Since 1999, the Government have published on an annual basis, a list of overseas travel by Cabinet Ministers costing in excess of £500 and the total cost of all ministerial travel. The Chancellor’s meetings in New York and Washington were between 16 December and 21 December. The Chancellor stayed on at his own cost until 23 December.
