Information for England and Wales on the completion rates for the main types of community sentence, for each year since 1995, can be found in Table 5.1 of the Home Office Statistical Bulletin: Offender Management Caseload Statistics 2005, a copy of which can be found in the House of Commons Library. This information shows the number of community sentences which are terminated due to further offences being committed by the offender or for failure to comply with the requirements of the sentence. Information on the number of offenders received into prison in each of the last six years for breaching community sentences is shown as follows. Information on the number of offenders who are sent to prison for committing further offences during community supervision is not centrally available.
